Refund Policy

Toronto Insider Guide (Digital Product)

No Refunds After Download: Due to the digital nature of the Toronto Insider Guide, all sales are final once you have downloaded or accessed the product.

Exceptions: Refunds may be issued within 7 days of purchase if:

  • Technical issues prevent you from accessing the guide (and we cannot resolve them)

  • You were charged incorrectly or multiple times

  • The product is significantly different from what was described

 

To request a refund, contact support@torontodetour.com with your order number and reason for the request.

 

No Refunds For:

  • Change of mind after download

  • Duplicate purchases (check your email before re-purchasing)

  • Sharing violations (if you share the guide, you forfeit refund eligibility)

Tour Experiences

Cancellation by Client:

More than 14 days before tour date:

  • Full refund minus 10% processing fee

  • Or reschedule to a different date at no charge

 

7-14 days before tour date:

  • 50% refund

  • Or reschedule with $50 rescheduling fee

 

Less than 7 days before tour date:

  • No refund

  • Rescheduling may be possible with 50% additional fee (subject to availability)

 

Day of tour (no-show):

  • No refund

  • No rescheduling

 

Cancellation by Toronto DeTour:

 

If we cancel your tour for any reason:

  • Full refund, no exceptions

  • OR reschedule to alternative date at no additional cost

  • Compensation for any non-refundable expenses you incurred (at our discretion)

 

Weather or Force Majeure:

 

If a tour is cancelled due to:

  • Severe weather making the experience unsafe or impractical

  • Public health emergencies

  • Government restrictions

  • Venue closures beyond our control

 

You will receive:

  • Full refund, OR

  • Rescheduling to a mutually agreeable date

 

Partial Tour Completion:

If a tour is cut short due to circumstances beyond our control (venue closure, medical emergency, etc.):

  • Partial refund based on portion not completed

  • Or credit toward future tour

Refund Processing

Timeline:

  • Refund requests processed within 5-7 business days

  • Refunds appear in your account within 5-10 business days (depending on payment method)

 

Method:

  • Refunds issued to original payment method

  • If original method unavailable, we may issue store credit or alternative payment

 

Currency:

  • Refunds issued in the currency of original purchase

  • Exchange rate fluctuations are not our responsibility

Non-Refundable Circumstances

No refunds will be issued for:

 

Tour Experiences:

  • Dissatisfaction with subjective elements (e.g., "I didn't like the vibe")

  • Failure to follow meeting instructions or arrive on time

  • Behavior that results in removal from tour

  • Personal emergencies or travel changes (consider travel insurance)

  • Third-party vendor issues beyond our control (e.g., restaurant quality)

 

Toronto Insider Guide:

  • Downloaded product (all sales final)

  • Venue closures or changes after purchase (we update regularly, but changes happen)

  • Preference for different types of venues

Disputes

If you have an issue with your purchase:

  1. Contact us first: support@torontodetour.com

  2. Provide order number, date, and detailed explanation

  3. We'll respond within 24-48 hours

  4. We'll work with you to find a fair resolution

Most issues can be resolved through communication.

Chargeback Policy

If you initiate a chargeback with your credit card company without first contacting us:

  • We reserve the right to dispute the chargeback

  • Future services may be denied

  • Legal fees may be pursued if chargeback is fraudulent

 

Please contact us first—we want to resolve issues fairly.
